The last kiss
Madeleine Goodwolf |
Madeleine Goodwolf paints what she doesn't know, scribbles poems in bright ink and tells stories of characters who are strong and lost and brave. She wonders sometimes whether making art is a good idea and knows that drawing next to her boys is wonderful without question.
I first knew her she was imagining tales of men and giraffe's parting ways to embark on great solo journeys. More recently, she has been travelling to Alice Springs each year to make prints of hand stitched cloth dolls and landscapes, together with the Aboriginal community in town. She changes style and medium easily and is as happy growing gardens as telling tales across a page. We are thrilled to have her on board as one of our Artcard artists and equally so to have cards illustrated by two of her boys.
